We Are Returning to Our Normal Office Hours 5/18/2020!
Dear Patient Community:
Our top priority continues to be the comfort, safety and wellbeing of our patients, staff and loved ones. Based on the updated guidelines provided by California Department of Public Health (cdph.ca.gov) and the American Dental Association (ada.org) we are moving forward with scheduling hygiene and less urgent patient needs. Further delay of your regularly scheduled hygiene appointments and/or treatment that you were unable to schedule due to public health recommendations due to COVID19 can turn into more severe issues if not taken care of in a timely fashion.
Our office has always followed infection control recommendations by the ADA, CDC and Cal-OSHA and we are up to date on the current guidelines from these agencies to provide the necessary precautions for you, our valued patients, and our staff. As communicated previously (see letter dated 4/29/2020 under COVID19 tab at www.whiteoakfamilydentistry.com) there will be some changes to our normal protocols for confirming appointments, prescreening and screening at the time of your appointment. Social distancing guidelines will require that you contact us from your car when you arrive so we can monitor the waiting room to have only 1-2 people in it at a time. Only necessary guardians or caregivers will be allowed in the office with the patient. Anyone else accompanying a patient will be asked to wait in their car and we can call or text them when the appointment is done if needed.
As we continue to update our messaging systems through text and email, we may send you the prescreening form through these electronic services. In the meantime, we will call you to confirm your appointment by phone. Due to a backlog of patient appointments, requests and needs, all appointments must be confirmed 48 hours (2 business days) prior to your scheduled appointment time in order to be held (Monday appointments will need to be confirmed by Thursday at 3:00pm). We will resume our regular 24-hour cancellation policy once we are able to get through our backlog of patient needs.
For reference our office hours are:
Monday & Tuesday: 9:00am – 7:00pm (lunch from 1-2pm)
Wednesday: 8:00am-4:00pm (lunch from 12-1pm)
Thursday & Friday: 7:00am-3:00pm (lunch from 11am-12pm)
We wish you and your families good health and a return to a healthy social and work environment as our state continues the process of safely opening our communities. We will continue to update you with any further office changes through various forms of electronic contact as needed. You can go to our website or follow us on Facebook for up to date information.
In Good Health,
Dr. Bob Luszczak
*Please note in observance of Memorial Day weekend, our office will be closed Friday, May 22-Monday, May 25. Our office will reopen on Tuesday, May 26 at 9:00a.m.

To Our Valued Patients:
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Everyone here at the office has been healthy and well. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines in a safe and healthy environment. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety while visiting our office.
Infection control has always been a top priority at White Oak Family Dentistry, and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are consistently completed so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow here at the office to keep our patients and staff safe.
Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal-OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
You may notice some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You will be asked these questions again and will need to sign a COVID-19 Pandemic Dental Treatment Consent Form when you come in for your next visit.
- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.
- You may be asked in the treatment room to do a “pre-rinse” to reduce bacterial levels
- Our waiting room will no longer be offering magazines to read and children’s toys since those items are difficult to keep disinfected.
- Appointments will be scheduled to allow for social distancing between patients to reduce the number of people in the waiting room.
Some of the things that you will always be able to count on in our office and from our staff is the same quality care and attention, friendly faces and genuine concern for your dental health care needs. We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you and every patient safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 818-363-7484 or visit our website at www.whiteoakfamilydentistry.com.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends. We are currently seeing “urgent” and “emergency “ patients. You can leave a message at the office at 818-363-7484 to schedule an appointment or on Dr. Bob’s cell phone at 818-523-3352.
Sincerely,
Dr. Bob Luszczak and Team
